I will be flying one-way to Taipei in 2 weeks and want to know if I should fly First Class. Is it worth it?

Question by ABCDE: I will be flying one-way to Taipei in 2 weeks and want to know if I should fly First Class. Is it worth it?
I ask because it is a really long flight and I hear that people get really cranky, and even sick in Coach because of it being uncomfortable and being surrounded by lots of people. How does it feel to fly First Class? Is it worth it?

Thanks!

I don’t know if you are making k/year or million, so hard to say what kind of dent this will make in your budget. How does it feel? well, more like being in a taxi than at the back of a bus, plus good food and very attentive service…much better chance to sleep, with lie-flat bed….nice lounge before you get on the plane, you get to get off first and your bags should be first on the carousel.

For business people, an argument is that they bounce back from the long flight faster, so can go to work sooner….and if time is $, you want your high-dollar talent being productive, not holed in hotel room getting over jetlag!

So…”worth it” is a value judgement; me, I couldn’t afford it, but if you place a premium on comfort, spend the $ (or Euro or…)…..or better yet, have your employer spend it!

I am going to give you the only piece of advice that was given to me for finding cheap travel deals, and it works to this day… Compare as many travel websites as you can as often as you can. Since you have a few months, start searching today and search the flights or hotels or whatever you need every week until the month before you are going. If anything is unusually cheaper, book it on that date. I would definitely recommend checking out the website BookMe. You can compare ALL the reputable travel sites from one location, and save tons of money. Good luck and check out the link below, and you will be all set.

What is there to do/see in each station of the Taipei MRT?

Question by noanswer: What is there to do/see in each station of the Taipei MRT?
I know it’s tiring to enumerate all the stations. Hehe. Just share the ones you know. By this, I mean places to see and things to do within the proximity of the station by just walking. I haven’t been to all the stations, especially the “brown” and “orange” lines. I’m only familiar with Ximen and Shilin.

For the opening and closing ceremonies, it would probably be the now-remodeled Taipei Municipal Stadium, which can hold 50,000 people at the most. This is a multi-purpose stadium that includes track and field and soccer.

What year did the Planet Hollywood in Taipei close?

Question by easyplex: What year did the Planet Hollywood in Taipei close?
This restaurant used to be in Warner Village… I wanted to pay a visit but it doesn’t exist any more.

Best answer:

Answer by MOTHRA
Easyplex, Planet Hollywood in Hsin Yi District closed down many years ago. I forgot the exact year, but my estimation would be sometime between 1999~2001, or it could be earlier than that. As for Warner Village, it’s not called that anymore. It’s new name is Vieshow Cinemas (????.)

Hey, fret not, I’m sure you’ve already seen Ruby Tuesday’s in the ground floor of the complex? And, if you don’t dig Ruby Tuesday, there’s a pasta restaurant located in a building to the left of the complex (when facing it from Shinkong + you need to cross the street.) Their pasta costs a million bucks, but the taste is heavenly. Ahhh, pasta heaven!! I hope Saturday doesn’t rain!!! Johnny Depp and pasta, what could be a more suitable pair??
